NDIS Counselling for Adolescents & Adults

Catalyst Counselling supports NDIS participants, with face-to-face appointments available in Broken Hill and telehealth available for suitable participants across regional and remote areas.

Counselling can support participants in better understanding themselves, managing emotional distress, building practical coping skills, improving relationships, and working toward greater confidence, connection, and day-to-day functioning.

Counselling That Understands the NDIS Context

NDIS Participants often face more than one challenge at a time.

Emotional distress, trauma, anxiety, disability-related stress, family pressure, social isolation, behavioural concerns, and difficulty managing change can all impact a person’s quality of life and ability to work toward their goals.

Catalyst Counselling provides a practical, trauma-informed and person-centred approach that recognises the broader support context around the participant.

This includes understanding:

  • NDIS goals and capacity-building supports
  • Support coordinator communication
  • Family and carer stress
  • Psychosocial and disability-related barriers
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Trauma and past experiences
  • Regional and remote service access challenges
  • The importance of clear progress notes and reporting
