NDIS Counselling for Adolescents and Adults

Counselling can support participants to build emotional regulation, improve daily functioning, develop healthier relationships, manage anxiety and stress, process trauma, and work towards their NDIS goals in a practical, person-centred way.

Catalyst Counselling: Your Partner in Mental Health

Counselling That Understands the NDIS Context

NDIS Participants often face more than one challenge at a time. Emotional distress, trauma, anxiety, disability-related stress, family pressure, social isolation, behavioural concerns, and difficulty managing change can all impact a person’s quality of life and ability to work toward their goals.

Catalyst Counselling provides a practical, trauma-informed and person-centred approach that recognises the broader support context around the participant.

This includes understanding:

  • NDIS goals and capacity-building supports
  • Support coordinator communication
  • Family and carer stress
  • Psychosocial and disability-related barriers
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Trauma and past experiences
  • Regional and remote service access challenges
  • The importance of clear progress notes and reporting
